My EchoNote Privacy Policy

My EchoNote ("the app") is developed by Neobile LLC. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use My EchoNote.

The short version

My EchoNote does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything you record stays on your device, and the app makes no network calls at all.

What My EchoNote stores, and where

Recordings, transcripts, and summaries you create are stored in a local database and file storage on your device, using Apple's SwiftData framework. This version of My EchoNote stores data on your device only.
Organizational data you add (titles, folders, tags) is stored the same way.

On-device processing

Transcription runs on your device using Apple's Speech framework. On iOS 26 it uses Apple's newer on-device speech models; on earlier versions it uses on-device speech recognition. In both cases recognition is forced to run on your device — your audio is never sent to a server.

Summaries are also generated on your device. On an Apple-Intelligence device running iOS 26, My EchoNote uses Apple's on-device language model; on other devices it uses a built-in, rule-based summary computed locally. Your audio and transcripts are not sent to Apple or anyone else.

Permissions

Microphone — to record audio you choose to record.
Speech recognition — to transcribe your recordings on your device.
Notifications (optional) — to tell you when a summary is ready, if you allow it.

You can change these any time in the Settings app. Denying a permission only limits the related feature.

What My EchoNote does NOT do

No account or sign-up of any kind.
No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
No tracking across apps or websites.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
No network requests of any kind, beyond Apple's own App Store purchase APIs.

Purchases

In-app purchases (My EchoNote Pro) are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. The developer never receives your payment details; the app only learns whether you currently have an active purchase, validated on-device via StoreKit.

Children's privacy

My EchoNote is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
