FluencyTap Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

FluencyTap (“the app”, listed as Running Record & ORF Calc) is developed by Neobile LLC. This policy explains what happens to data when you use FluencyTap.

The short version

FluencyTap does not collect your data — or your students’ data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the app makes no network requests. Assessment results, student labels, passages, and notes stay on your device. The only online interaction is Apple’s own App Store purchase system.

Student data, by design

Camera and text scanning

The camera is used only for the optional “scan a passage” feature. Text recognition runs entirely on your device; camera images are processed in memory and are never stored or transmitted. Only the recognized text is kept, and only if you choose to save it.

Face ID app lock

The optional app lock uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication system. FluencyTap never sees your biometric data; Apple’s system only tells the app whether unlocking succeeded.

Purchases

Optional saved-workflow upgrades are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. FluencyTap never sees your payment details. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled in your App Store account settings.
