PinningLab Privacy Policy

PinningLab (“the app”) is developed by Neobile LLC. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use PinningLab.

The short version

PinningLab does not collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the app makes no network requests. Everything you enter — key bittings, calculations, saved jobs, custom profiles — stays on your device. The only online interaction is Apple’s own App Store purchase system.

What PinningLab stores, and where

Saved jobs and custom profiles are stored locally on your device, encrypted at rest with AES-GCM. The encryption key is generated on your device and held only in your device’s Keychain; it never leaves the device and is never written to a file, log, or report.
Settings (appearance, default chamber count, auto-lock interval, language) are stored locally and contain no key-system data.
Nothing is uploaded. The app has no server and performs no network calls.

Face ID / Touch ID

The optional app lock uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication system. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS; PinningLab never sees, stores, or transmits your biometric information — it only receives Apple’s yes/no unlock answer.

Exports you create

PDF and CSV worksheets are created only when you explicitly export them, and they leave the app only through the iOS share sheet destination you choose. Temporary export files are protected with iOS file protection and deleted after sharing. The app itself never emails or uploads a report. A redacted export mode is available that omits key bittings entirely.

Purchases

Any in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment details; the app only learns whether a purchase completed, validated on-device.

What PinningLab does NOT do

No account or sign-up of any kind.
No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
No ads, and therefore no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
No camera, photo, location, or contacts access.
No cloud sync — CloudKit is disabled.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties — there is no data to share.

Children’s privacy

PinningLab is a professional trade tool. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new “Last updated” date.

PinningLab no recopila tus datos. No hay cuenta, ni analítica, ni publicidad, ni rastreo, y la app no realiza conexiones de red. Todo lo que introduces — combinaciones de llaves, cálculos, trabajos guardados y perfiles personalizados — permanece en tu dispositivo, cifrado con AES-GCM mediante una clave guardada solo en el Llavero (Keychain) de tu dispositivo. Las exportaciones PDF/CSV se crean únicamente cuando tú las pides y salen solo por la hoja de compartir de iOS que tú eliges. Las compras se gestionan íntegramente a través de Apple.
