This policy explains what Neobile LLC (“we”) collects, uses and keeps when you use the NNAT Test Prep app.

Who the app is for

NNAT Test Prep is designed for children in kindergarten through grade 5 and their parents. Everything that is for grown-ups — signing in, purchases, the parent report, settings, external links and deletion — is behind a parental gate (a simple multiplication question). There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, no location, no chat and no third-party analytics or advertising service.

Family account (optional, for parents)

NNAT Test Prep works completely without signing in. A parent can set up a family account in the parents’ area, behind the parental gate. A parent can sign in with e-mail and password, with Google or with Apple; Google and Apple sign-in happen in Google’s or Apple’s own screen, and we never see a password.

Sign-in provider: Google Firebase Authentication. When the app opens it also creates an anonymous sign-in — a random identifier with no name or e-mail — under which practice is saved and purchases are checked.
What we receive when a parent signs in: the e-mail address and, with Google or Apple, the name those services pass on (Apple may pass a private relay address instead of the real one).
What is kept with the account: completed practice sessions and tests — the question numbers, the answers chosen, the grade, the mode and when it was completed, with the summary the history screen shows, and the family’s membership status, so they appear on the family’s other iPhone and iPad. As in earlier versions, these sessions are also saved for the anonymous sign-in, so a parent who signs up later keeps them.
Each of our apps is separate: NNAT Test Prep keeps its own records. If a parent uses the same sign-in in another of our apps, that app keeps its own history and memberships; neither app reads the other’s.

Practice data

Practice history is kept on the device and, as described above, saved on our server under the app’s sign-in so it can be shown on the family’s devices and in the parent report: completed practice sessions and tests — the question numbers, the answers chosen, the grade, the mode and when it was completed, with the summary the history screen shows. We do not ask for or store a child’s name.

Anonymous usage statistics

Starting with version 1.5, to see which parts of the app are used and where it can be improved, the app sends small batches of anonymous usage counts to our own server while it is open. The counts are anonymous and cannot be linked to anyone, as described below.

What is counted: fixed events such as “practice session started / finished” (with its mode, the question type and the grade selected), how many questions of each type were answered and how many practice answers were right or wrong, “daily limit reached”, “parental gate shown / passed”, “plans screen shown”, which plan was bought and whether the purchase completed. Each count carries only the calendar day, how many days since install (in ranges), the app version, the app language and the platform.
Purchase situations: when the plans screen is shown and when a purchase completes, the app adds the situation in ranges — the screen it was opened from, the plan bought, how many days since install, how many sessions were completed on this device (0, 1, 2–3, 4–9, 10 or more), how many free questions were left that day (none, 1–3, 4–9, all), the mode, reasoning area and grade of the last session, and whether the sample parent report was seen. These are daily totals like all the others; our dashboard never shows a number below 5.
What is never sent with these counts: a name; which question was shown or which answer was chosen; scores; anything typed; any account, device or advertising identifier; the device model; country or location; the time of day.
How it is stored: only daily totals — each event adds 1 to a counter. No individual event, no IP address and no request details are kept, so the counts cannot be linked to a child, a parent, an account or a device. Development builds, test builds (TestFlight and App Review) and automated tests never send anything.

Purchases

Apple processes payments and manages subscriptions.

To make a membership work on the family’s devices, the app sends the purchase’s identifier to our server, which checks it with the store where it was bought and keeps the result — the membership, its plan, its end date and whether it renews — with the account that bought it. The account reference the app passes to Apple with a purchase is a code derived from the sign-in identifier, not a name or e-mail. We never receive payment-card details.

Service providers

Google Firebase Authentication — sign-in (anonymous, and optional e-mail, Google or Apple for parents). We use no Firebase advertising or analytics product.
Apple — in-app purchases, purchase verification and Sign in with Apple.
Google — Sign in with Google, if a parent chooses it.
Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database, United States) — our server. Like any web server, the hosting provider keeps standard request logs for about an hour to operate the service; we never copy anything from them.

These providers process information only to provide their services to us and follow their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share personal information.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

A child can use the whole app without signing in. Accounts are for parents, behind the parental gate; the e-mail address is the parent’s. Practice sessions saved on our server are linked to the family’s sign-in and used only to show history and reports and to verify purchases. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Data retention, your choices and deletion

We keep the account’s records while the account is used.

Clearing the history in the app deletes it on the device and on our server. A signed-in parent can delete the account in the parents’ area (Delete account); without a sign-in, Delete this app’s data removes what our server holds for this installation. Either way our server deletes NNAT Test Prep’s records — its practice history, its membership records and the link between purchases and the account — and then the sign-in itself, unless another of our apps still uses it (that app keeps its own data). For Apple sign-in we also revoke the app’s authorization with Apple when the sign-in is deleted. Practice history saved before our apps kept separate records, which cannot be assigned to one app, is deleted together with the sign-in, or at once on request. A subscription keeps renewing until it is cancelled in the store where it was bought, and the store keeps its own billing records. You can also ask for deletion on the web: delete your NNAT Test Prep account. Records of deleted accounts are kept only as one-way codes for up to 400 days, so a device that is still signed in from before cannot bring them back.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International users

We operate from the United States; information may be processed and stored in the United States or where our service providers operate.

NNAT Test Prep está pensada para niños de kindergarten a quinto grado y sus padres; no tiene publicidad ni seguimiento. Desde la versión 1.5 envía a nuestro servidor recuentos anónimos de uso (totales diarios sin ningún identificador; un padre o una madre puede desactivarlos en el área de padres → Acerca de).

La cuenta familiar es opcional y solo para padres: detrás del control parental, un padre o una madre puede iniciar sesión con correo, Google o Apple. Con la cuenta se guardan las sesiones completadas (números de pregunta, respuestas, grado, modo y la hora) y la membresía, para verlas en los otros dispositivos de la familia. Cada una de nuestras apps guarda sus propios datos. Las compras se comprueban con la tienda donde se hicieron. Eliminar la cuenta (o «Eliminar los datos de esta app» sin sesión) borra los datos de NNAT Test Prep en nuestro servidor, y el inicio de sesión solo si ninguna otra de nuestras apps lo usa; también se puede pedir en esta página.
